Social Security Exemption
Applying the territorial principle, foreign employees working in Germany are as a matter of principle subject to pay social security contributions in Germany. An exception is made for employees who are instructed by a foreign employer to come to Germany on business for a period that is limited in advance. In any such case, salary payments continue to be made by the employer in the home country, where they have to be reported for tax. Provided these criteria are met, the employment relationship is included in the social security insurance, and the member of staff is allowed to remain in the foreign social security scheme.
Health Insurance Concept
The BDAE offers optimum health insurance for foreigners who live in Germany or are transferred here on business.
