Assistance rendered during stays abroad. Coverage exists in all the countries of the world. Amongst other things, the following benefits are covered
- International medical advice in routine cases and emergencies
- Information on medical or dental service providers
- Doctor and hospital referral (provider search)
- Mediation of lawyers, interpreters and translators
- Support and advice for close relatives
- Advice and support in the event of lost documents
- Support for procuring prescription medicines
- Coordination of out-patient treatments

The following services usually associated with costs are also provided. These are covered by the BDAE and for which med con team has obtained authorization directly from the BDAE and its insurers. They include:
- Organization and implementation of emergency evacuations and repatriations
- Assistance for in-patient treatment (e.g. monitoring the medical treatment, cost containment)
- Organization of return transport in the event of death
These services, previously offered almost exclusively to large companies, are now also covered for individual persons through the agreement with the BDAE. |
